A TALE OF TWO PHOTOS

Where Did These Photos Come From?

Before photos were released officially by the States Attorney Office of George Zimmerman’s  injuries, the photo at the top was released by ABC News showing  George Zimmerman’s bloodied head and supposedly taken 3 min after Zimmerman shot Trayvon Martin.   The photo at the bottom was released officially by the States Attorney’s Office.  There was no mention by ABC News or other outlets stating where the photo at the top came from.  In fact to this date, no one has questioned where the overly graphic bloodied photo of Zimmerman’s head came from.  According to official police records Officer Michael Wagner  whose report was written 3/24/2012 almost a month after Trayvon Martin was shot states that he used his personal I-Phone (due to an immediate lack of access to a digital camera) to take a picture of Zimmerman’s face.  He reports that he saw that Zimmerman’s face was bloodied and it appeared to him that his nose was broken. He also states he saw the back of Zimmerman’s head and it was bloodied.  On 3/18/2012 according to Wagner he received information that no photo existed of George Zimmerman with his injuries. He then e-mailed both photos to Inv. C. Serino. Inv. C. Serino then requested Wagner submit the narrative with his involvement in the case.  Zimmerman at the time of the incident refused to go to a hospital and visited a family doctor the next day but only to get clearance to return to work.  My question is where did the photo at the top come from and why did Wagner hold onto photos for so long? Why was his report not written until 6 days after he e-mailed the photos? Where is the integrity in a police report written almost a month after the death of Trayvon Martin. Where did the bloody photo at the top originate from and why has the media walked away from pursuing the origins of the photo?  Why did Wagner state in his report that no photo existed of George Zimmerman with his injuries?  As I read the documents released by the State’s Attorney Office, I have more and more questions about the circumstances surrounding the Trayvon Martin Case and the actions of the Sanford Police Dept. My next blog post will be pertaining to the familiarity the Sanford Police Dept. had with George Zimmerman and evidence of it in Police Reports.
